Advertising Policy for Green Panda Treehouse is Up!

I can’t believe this site has been up for a couple of years! I’m grateful to everyone that has supported it and I wanted to take a bit of time just share with you some information about the ad policy here on the site. I’m trying to be a bit more transparent in regards to the blog’s content.

The ad policy I posted earlier today is nothing ground breakingly new. I have followed these general principles, but as the site has grown, I gotten many emails for reviews and advertising deals. I want to hopefully clarify where I stand and have written policy for ads on the site .

Here are the highlights:

• Advertising Goals: My goal is still to maintain the resourcefulness of the site for my readers, while introducing them to sites, products, and services which may be of interest to them.
• Product Posts and Reviews: You can not buy a positive review. I won’t accept money for the review itself, and I retain complete editorial control over what I write.
• Extra Products: If it’s a good product/service/site  and you send extra copies, then understand that they will be offered to the readers in a giveaway to  reward loyal readers.
• Text Link Ads: My policy is to be clear with text link ads. I do use them for affiliate programs for products that are very useful to my readers. I work hard on choosing who to work with and I want to maintain the trust of my readers.

I have a lot of respect for my readers (you). I want this site to benefit you and, at the same time, gain some revenue to help us reduce our debts.
