@Junk Debt Collectors,
Credit cards can help building your credit history and indeed help you with getting a mortgage. Banks have to rely on your capacity and ability to pay out some debts and loans. If you have none, they might refuse you, no matter how good of a person you can be! So credit card debt is one thing, not use them is another...

I feel what's best is simply just to quit using your credit cards. When you cut up your credit cards, you're much more likely to save yourself from acquiring credit card debt. But I don't use credit cards, may i still get a home loan? Can you help?

Good points Craig!
Not getting into debt should be a goal for everyone. If you do have debt, getting out and staying out should be a goal.
