It’s been a week with the new theme and I wanted to get some feedback from you guys. I’m working on improving the quailty of the posts as my main priority. I also want to make the site easy to navigate and find what you need.

  • MP3: Do you like having the option of downloading the posts?
  • Layout: What featuires do I need to add or remove to make the site more useful?
  • Content: What topics should I discuss more of? Less of?

I appreciate your help. I want to make this site better and then I want to grow its audience.

I haven’t listened to any post, but I definitely like the new layout. I miss your old color scheme, but I’m getting used to this one.

I second Caveman. The new layout is nice, but I haven’t listened to any posts (I rarely download mP3s. But it is a cool option!

    Thanks for the mention. :)

@ Caveman, I’m missing the color scheme to! :) I think next week, I’ll play around with it. I want to incorporate some green w/o going overboard.

@Patrick I’m glad you like the mp3 option. Im hoping it’ll help some people in a rush.

Personally, I don’t find the MP3 feature useful because the voice is too robotic which was distracting as I was listening to the post. It also reads everything on the page instead of just the content of the post, and another side effect is that it makes typos blatantly obvious because it reads exactly what’s written on the page. If there’s an option to download audio, I would prefer to hear an actual person talking.

Thanks BGS for your feedback. I’m going to see if I can find a more natural sounding voice for the mp3. The program I have said it was smart enough to only read the text, but I may have to email them on that. As for the typos, this audio option gives me more incentive to write better. :)
