		<description>We split everything 50/50. Our incomes are actually within 5% of each other now that I&#039;ve graduated. Prior to that we operated on a pretty simple system. I paid half of whatever I could afford to, and he paid everything else. We do not have a joint account, so we use a simple spreadsheet to keep track of joint expenses, which keeps transferring money down to once or twice a month. We also have a &#039;Master plan&#039; spreadsheet that is used to keep track of goal progress and planning.

This makes a lot of sense to me, because most day to day expenses are personal, so we track them individually. Other things like saving for a house or a new tv we work together on since they are joint goals.</description>
