I cleaned up my car last week with some help fro my brother. I found some money buried under the seats and carpets. I have a little change ‘jar’ that I placed the money in. Twice I was going to pick up food and use the money and I instead got treated from my car pool group (I was driving by the way). Sweet.
Having a change jar can be an asset
I wasn’t doing using the change jar because I was poor, but I want to use the money I actually already have instead of pulling from the bank account. Since I started last week, I have about $9 in my coin jar.

I use to carry spare change in my glove box for emergencies like gas or food while I was in college. I loved it when I got surprised and found a dollar bill or two. And occasionally someone donated some change when I would give them a car ride. I miss those days.

I’m glad I’m not alone with a change jar. Great job!
I love saving up some spare change. I’m going to have to come up with a bigger savings gal. I may snowflake this money to my car payment.
Little efforts add up. I encouraged my boyfriend to empty the change from his pockets into an empty 16 0z water bottle each day. When the bottle filled up, he actually had enough to grab a nice suit on sale for work!!
@Dana: Wow! Getting a suit from a change jar is fantastic!
