I use the ING Direct mail check service.. and though it's been fine for months, this month my check did not arrive. Meh. I simply won't pay a $25 fee to stop a $35 check. Many other banks guarantee their payments. Why won't ING?

Bummer. Your apt must regularly deal with deadbeats. It's a shame they can't cut the edgy fcade for legitimate tenants like yourself.

I like the idea of mailing the check to your address with the apts name in the "order of" line. The Happy Rock has done this with success.

Check out PTs last blog post..<a href="http://ptmoney.com/2008/06/17/summer-camp-cheap-frugal-budget-summer-savings-series-7/" rel="nofollow">Summer Savings Series #7 - Send Your Kid to Summer Camp Without Blowing the Budget</a>

We'll talk it over tonight, but right now he's using a money order for June's payment. I hate this rental company's convienence charges.

ING Direct's customer service was great and I appreciate them waiving the stop check fee.

If hand-delivering the Wachovia check is easy, I'd do that. Or have the ING one mailed you and hand-deliver it. It's annoying and unautomated, but it also lets you be really sure that the check got where it should.
