I admitted the other day that I was eating out for lunch too much. I decided to stop that trend. I talked with a coworker that I needed to cut down on it and we both agreed that we would exercise during two of our lunches. Today we started and did about 2 1/2 miles.
Tonight I felt energized enough to suggest to my husband that we go for a walk. We did a little over 3 miles according to Map My Run! The great news is that this feels better than a greasy meal and it’s good for my health. I’ll try to blog about it as it motivates me to keep actual tabs on what I do.
Thanks Kacie on your suggestion to plan my lunches to improve my choices.

Great alternative to eating out for lunch. I’ve noticed I’ve been falling into the same pattern of being lazy and eating out. Unfortunately I don’t think I could go out for a walk too often (my lunches get brought back to my desk
)
It has always surprised me how much energy a little exercise can provide. I’ve been far too lazy lately and I’m noticing that I crave activity; this is a first for me.

I just saw a 3.5min video on eating/diets affect people & our world. It’s called: The world now eats (and dies) like Americans
If you’ve got 3.5min to spare, check it out here:

Thank for the video. I didn’t realize how widespread cardiovascular diseases is and how preventable. I hope I can keep this up.
I was heavily influenced by sister who was such a health nut. I did not really see the point of eating healthy, besides, fast food was easy and tasty. But as I have come to realize how the body actually works, and my metabolism is not at light speed, I have given up fast food burgers as my New Year’s Resolution. It’s hard at first, but for me the longer I can control my urges, the less it is a temptation.

Thanks for linking to Map my run. I have been doing a lot of new running/biking on time and have been wondering about distances but have gotten sick of having to waste gas running them in my car.
@ Jane Great job! How’s the biking going? I need to use a bike, but I don’t have one yet.
