As someone who fulfills a development role sometimes, I can't have anyone logging into my machine effing up settings that I need fixed for QA/testing. It could ruin a test I'm running, etc. My current job as a consultant requires me to have a clearance for some engagements and I can't even tell the IT helpdesk what I'm working on to get assistance because of the sensitive nature of things. (They just did a security audit review this us and reinforced this point.)
