I'm looking at around $160/month for just my car. We have to move closer to our jobs or something, but we work in opposite directions.

I wish I transit system was a bit more reliable and was working in the city where I work. Over here, the buses don't exactly follow the schedule (20 min differences at time). If it worked, I would have no problem using public transportation. I've just been burned by it.

I'm hoping to save some money on Gas Buddy, though I know it won't be too significant.

I'll burn through $100 - 200 worth of gas a month. One of the downsides to driving an older car is that my gas milage is horrible. But then again, I don't have car payments.

I update gas buddy for any time I see a price change in my area. Since I pass about 10 gas stations on my way to work every morning, I have a good idea based off price and location how much gas will be. For those that aren't as lucky, I'll use gas buddy.

It's been a real savior on trips. While it may not have the most recent prices, you can still notice trends and where you'll save money by stopping.

Ours is about $60/month, I think. Maybe $70. Problem is that it's hard to estimate because prices are creeping upwards. I should probably use gas buddy, though I've learned where the cheapest stations in our area are.
